New Moon: No post this week

Hello all. I regret to inform you that as recently anticipated, my schoolwork is impacting my ability to guarantee weekly posts for the time being. I am hoping that outright cancellations won't happen too often, but at least for today I have to say there will be no New Moon post. I'm obliged to work on a very important assignment (which is at least, I'm pleased to report, an enjoyable one); and while I could always postpone a newsletter installment until tomorrow since I mostly don't need to do schoolwork on weekends, I have too many other necessary things to catch up on this weekend as a result of similar school-related delays.

I did very much want to write about this week's intended topic of ritual animal transformation, something that has grown near and dear to my heart, but I'm going to put it off for another month when circumstances are more favorable for giving things the attention they deserve. In the meantime, next Friday I will do my best to provide a post for paid subscribers — hint, hint — on the subject of masonry and sculpture. Then if we're lucky I'll finally be back to some public posts, starting with an examination of how justice looks in an animist worldview.

My apologies again that I can't write to you in full this week. But be well. Eat an apple. Listen to the owls.
