When I was growing up, my mother's garden was so shade-covered that the poppies took forever to grow. One would usually bloom near my birthday in August, so I associated them with Leo season. But ever since planting poppies here, I'm starting to associate them with Gemini season instead, since they bloom much faster on our sunny slope.
