Forsythia are decidedly not from around here, but I can't help embracing them as a beautiful Aries season plant, since they're so damn cheery, their blossoms make delicious tea, and they are less invasive than some comparable landscaping imports that have bird-distributed fruits. I'd sooner plant native spicebush, but the forsythia left in our backyard can stay.
